My path to software engineering was anything but a straight line —
    and I think that makes me a better engineer for it.
    I spent years as an ESL teacher, breaking down complex ideas for adult learners.
    Turns out that's basically the job description for a great developer.

    
After completing General Assembly's Software Engineering Immersive,
    I dove straight into production work — shipping a veterans' document platform
    at Trajector, then joining Brewer Science's Enterprise Applications team
    where I build cloud-based tools that real employees rely on every day.

    
I'm equally at home in React components and AWS Lambda functions.
    Understanding the whole stack makes every layer of your code better.
